Philosophy:
Renae believes in using technology to assist and support classroom learning. She believes that computers are "the pencil of the new millineum" and that students must become proficient in the use of this educational tool. Her approach to using computers is to integrate the learning into meaningful activities which are directly related to what the students are working on in their classrooms. Ms. Briggs also holds a strong belief that all students should participate in arts education, having exposure to music, art, dance and theatre.

Hobbies and Interests:
Ms. Briggs has been playing the trumpet for over 30 years. She has been a member of a wide variety of performing groups including – The Florida Vanguards Drum & Bugle Corps, The University of Miami 5:00 Jazz Band, The Deerfield Beach Symphony, The Bayou City Blues Drum & Bugle Corps, The HBU Brass Ensemble and The San Francisco Gay & Lesbian Band. She is currently a member of The Contra Costa Wind Symphony
