FUNDRAISING

Fundraising events at Kaiser are essential if we are to continue offering our children the best possible education. The money we raise is put to many uses:

  • Enrichment instruction & equipment: library support; computer maintenance; music and art programs; health instruction
  • Student projects, field trips and assemblies
  • Playground and motor development equipment
  • Classroom support
  • Emergency supplies
  • Parent education workshops

The following are our principal fundraisers. Please contact any member of the PTA board to express your interest in helping make these events an even greater success.

Kaiser Elementary School Auction is an adult party with Silent and Live Auctions held each year. It is one of our main fundraisers and a winner at all levels - it raises money for our children’s education, it provides tax deductions for both donors and bidders, and it’s a marvelous way to spend an evening with other parents of Kaiser students. Volunteers are needed to follow up on solicitation letters, sell bar and raffle tickets, categorize donated auction items, set up and display Silent Auction tables and help with promotion and decorations.

escrip programTHE E-SCRIPT PROGRAM provides an opportunity to generate revenue for our school without requiring additional out-of-pocket expenses or time in parents’ busy schedules. The school receives a percentage of the eSCRIP amount purchased, from participating merchants. After filling out the brief application form, your participation requires only the time needed to shop at participating establishments. Learn more here.

Other passive fundraising includes collecting box-tops and used ink-jet cartridges for recycling. Information about these programs and collection boxes are located in the school office.

Maredy FundraisingMAREDY FUNDRAISER runs from October 28 – November 12, 2010. Orders will arrive on December 3 at Kaiser.

THE WALK-A-THON is a day-long event scheduled in the spring for Kaiser students and families. This year it was May 7. This activity affords the children an opportunity to raise money for their school. They obtain sponsors who agree to donate according to how far the children walk. Walk-A-Thon Day is full of challenges and excitement for the walkers, who may earn T-shirts and a variety of awards. The children love this event, and it's another of our major fundraisers. Parent volunteers are needed to register participants, staff the check points, hand out juice bars, make badges, and to set up and take down stations.
