AUCTION WAS A BIG SUCCESS!
Thanks to you, the 2012 Kaiser Elementary School Auction on Saturday was a huge success. We're still tallying up the auction totals but there's no question everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone who came, who donated, and who bid!

»CONGRATULATIONS TO KAISER!
Kaiser Elementary has been recognized as the only school in Oakland to fully implement the Second Step program in all grades K-5th. Second Step is an intervention program that helps kids learn positive and successful ways to deal with peer conflicts to help prevent bullying. Oakland Unified is looking to Kaiser as a model for implementing the program. Thanks to Mr. Avent and Ms. Jackson for successfully implementing this program at Kaiser!
SAVE OUR SCHOOL!
Kaiser Elementary will NOT be closed. However, the school has until August 2013 to come up with a plan to enlarge the school to accomodate 380 students. A separate Yahoo group has been established for dialogue and ideas around the closure issue, sign up here!
