Principal’s Message – November 13th, 2018

Hello Kaiser Elementary Families.

Last week Dr. Kyla Johnson-Trammell, OUSD’s superintendent, visited Kaiser and toured several classes. She was excited to see the work we are doing with socio-emotional learning and “Toolbox” lessons. We also celebrated Kaiser’s double digit gains in reading and math.

Last week we also started a new tradition of recognizing perfect attendance. Kaiser has a legacy of strong attendance, which we all know is the foundation for success in school and beyond. While there are times when students will need to be out of school, especially if they sick, we also want to celebrate students when they are here on time every day. Each month, for the rest of the school year, we will be celebrating monthly perfect attendance with certificates, prizes, and a brief award ceremony in each class.

In this season of giving thanks, I want to share my gratitude for the partnership and support of our Kaiser families, and for our teachers and staff whose commitment to our children goes far beyond the job.

Happy Thanksgiving!
